Authentico Foods is a Chicago-based company devoted to crafting all-natural Mexican food that brings families together for over 50+ years. In 1970, Salvador “Chava” Hernandez set out to craft Chicago’s most authentic tortilla chips, naming his brand El Ranchero® after his childhood ranch in Jalisco, Mexico.

Today, El Ranchero® is celebrated for its signature chips and tostadas—including the fan-favorite Chile Lime variety—made with natural ingredients and artisanal techniques. In tribute to its founder, on the 50th anniversary of the company’s founding – Authentico rebranded its products to embrace the name El Ranchava®, blending “El Ranchero®” with Chava’s nickname.
